1:1 Fund Partners Raise Nearly $67,000 During September Campaign
Three new organizations joined the 1:1 Fund just in time for our second-to-last fundraising campaign of the year, which had a Back to School theme. These new partners—College Dreams, Oakland Promise and Springboard to Opportunities—helped the 1:1 Fund have its second-best campaign ever, with a combined fundraising total of $66,977 for the nine participating partners. Four hundred individual donors powered this record-setting campaign total.
Promise Indiana propelled the 1:1 Fund forward, raising an astounding $22,119 during the September 11-15 campaign. KickStart to Career was right behind them, raising just shy of $20,000 in the fundraising week. Of the new partners, Springboard to Opportunities performed the best, raising nearly $9,000.
With matching funds from the 1:1 Fund's National Match Pool, courtesy of Prudential Financial, the 1:1 Fund matched all gifts during the campaign, dollar for dollar, up to $500. With these matches, the nine participating partners turned the $66,977 into a total of $128,344 to match the savings of low-income kids saving for college.
The 1:1 Fund's final fundraising campaign of the year will be on Giving Tuesday, November 28. Be on the lookout for future emails about donating during the upcoming giving season, and follow the 1:1 Fund on Facebook and Twitter to find out which partners will need your support.
