Senior Program Manager, Children's Savings
Monica Copeland is a Senior Program Manager on the Children’s Savings team. In this role, she manages the operations of the 1:1 Fund, leads the planning and execution of learning events, and coordinates the team’s communications work.
Prior to joining CFED, Monica was a Senior Program Officer at the New York City Department of Consumer Affairs’ Office of Financial Empowerment (OFE) where she managed initiatives focused on increasing access to safe and affordable financial products and creating opportunities to build wealth for low-income individuals and families. She also led and supported programmatic and policy efforts which addressed the financial needs of underserved communities through her work at the Baltimore CASH (Creating Assets, Savings and Hope) Campaign, the IDA and Asset Building Collaborative of North Carolina, and Self-Help.
Monica holds a Master’s degree from Columbia University School of Social Work and a bachelor’s degree from Duke University.
